I use the gonemadplayer on my two 5IT devices and this app is working fine!
- Gapless playback working fine with FLAC and MP3 (including settings for caching size etc.).
- It is a paid app with best support (including own forum / localisation forum / direct developer contact and quick issue fixing ...

The HDD is only for audio, video and other documents, not for apps.

Non-existing / working EQs in Android are the reason, why I use gonemad since awhile.

btw. Is music fx active via bt device? In past, archos did not use the internal EQ via bt. That's the reason, why I use gonemad.

* Booting time improved with latest update. Before 2.15 min, now 50 sec. =D>
* Start of widges -> okay and faster as before (in relation to the last second updates)
* Start of apps -> okay and faster as before (in relation to the last second updates)

I know that the overclocked models had a "turbo" label on box.
The better way is to detect the speed with the "developer" setting or with an "Android OS" app, where you can see the processor, RAM etc.

I own a 1.5 GHz HDD-model - there is only one model -> the 1.5 GHz model. ;)

As audio-player, I prefer gonemad's player.

Hi. This is the "second" generation of the G9 model.

1. 1 GHz
2. 1.2 GHz same processor, overclocked, but labeled with "turbo"
3. 1.5 GHz the last one with a new processor, real speed -> this is the latest G9 model

With the latest test-release 26, the boot time of my HDD-model is longer as before update. With the 25er update, I have a boot time nearly 2 min, now I have a boot time 2.15 min. Does Archos not optimize the code for HDD-models?

I have the 250HHD version. I find that the system locks up sometimes when using apps that access the HHD. The HHD icon appears in notification area and stays there and I can't access any apps, or at least they allow access then just freeze and I have to hard reset which is a bit of a bind and never ...
