The Comet website isn't showing the 4gig 605 but is showing the 2gig 405 for £80. Must be remnants of stock left in store I guess.

I wouldn't buy a new battery now, they degrade over time whether they are used or not. You would definitely be better waiting for it go die.

The 5 lacks the hardware buttons of the 605 which is a major minus point for me.

I use quidco, so I ended up paying £55 taking the cashback into account

Dang, just paid £99 for one from Currys

Pretty happy with mine- I have a 605 4G (Currys are selling them off at £99 atm), and I've been pleased to see it works with my 32gig SDHC card that I used in my 405.

The screen is a beaut but the unit doesn't feel quite as robust as the 405, probably because its bigger.
