So i hear you can stream video and music from you mac/pc to you 605.. with the wifi...even stream from your cable box.. anyone knows how to do this? i Have a mac... Do you need the dvr for this?
For the cable box I believe you do need the dvr dock.
For the Mac/Pc all you need is a wifi connection. Then you can either use the devices file manager or use its UPNP function to search through your computers files.
Thanks...Helps a bit.. but how do you get it started. You connect to the wifi it searchs for computers.. then what? Do the files you want to stream have to be shared from the computer.. or can you just browse through the computer. I'm using a mac with a wireless airport connection.
You can't just "stream from a cable box" theres a possibility that some DVRs that act as wireless servers could stream to the 605, but it's very unlikely that cable boxes are able to do this. And if so, it would not required a DVR station.
