I would, from my own personal experience, recommend those from http://www.boxwave.com either their "ClearTouch" or "CrystalTouch"
Only problem is they don't have one specifically for the 605 yet. If you know which other player has the exact same size screen as the 605 then just buy that model.
I have their screen protectors on a number of my gadgets and am very happy with them. One on my Palm Tungsten T3 has been on for years and it's used daily and shows virtually no marks at all.
I have no contact with Boxwave apart from being one very happy customer.
I will be buying a Boxwave for my own 605 as soon as I know what size to buy.
Anyone know what other gadget has exactly the same screen size, width/height NOT diagonal, as the 605 WiFi 160GB?

If you decide to go another route, you can get many screen savers for next to nothing. Been using them for almost a year now, and only had to change it once. Don't even notice it on there and the touchscreen seems to actually work better with it.yjokd wrote:What screen protectors do you guys recommend for the 605 Wifi?

Re: Screen protector for the 605?
Thanks for the tip and link. So it's .99 cents for one screen protector? I'd only make a few for the 605. I hope i can only buy a little bit of the material and not a whole roll!honeymonkey wrote:If you decide to go another route, you can get many screen savers for next to nothing. NO, you just buy 1/2 a meter or a foot off the roll, whatever the smallest amount they will sell you. In Walmart you can buy 1/3 or a meter. That is 1/3 of a meter by 4 feet long, so for 99 cents you can make enough protectors for everyone on this board with a 605 loljohnb41 wrote:Thanks for the tip and link. I've used Boxwave for a few years now. I've also used http://www.overlayplus.com - I couldn't get a Boxwave protector for my wife's Sony K750i phone so I got one from OverlayPlus, I have to say it applied much better/easier than all the recent Boxwave ones and you cannot tell it is even on her phone.
I emailed the Overlayplus guy with the sizes and he emailed me back a .PDF template to cut out and try. I've not had chance to try it yet but the size I think best would be 94mm x 56.5mm
He'll then just make one up for me using his excellent material of that size

Could you upload this template somewhere? It would be real helpful for those making their own.Fedorov wrote:I've used Boxwave for a few years now. Re: Screen protector for the 605?
template worked great. my walmart had 3 different thicknesses of the vinyl and i got the one in the middle, works and looks great. every time i adhere it to the screen though after it dries i get air bubbles from lint. i don't see them when i'm spreading the water around cause they are wet i guess. i clean the screen and the vinyl before i put it on and but i always get lint bubbles. anyway to avoid this?
Re: Screen protector for the 605?
Another option is "none of the above".
I've had mine for over a year and have never had a screen protector on it - not a single scratch on the screen.

Re: Screen protector for the 605?
i know mine would get scratched somehow even though i'm really careful with my stuff so for me i'd rather keep making the screen protectors than have a permanately scratched screen.
