I have the s9HD's, but I have not used any other bt stereo headset so I have nothing to compare to.

They are very bassy, and have 6 buttons for control built in. Charge seems to last good, and connection to iphone is easy.

Definitely not as clear as my Triple-Fi 10's, but what can you expect for wireless.

Of the 3 i have to say i really love the Rocket Fish headphones.. they have a great battery life, great sound both in coming and out going, and the controls are easy to get used to and use.

I've been checking out many of the mentioned BT stereo headsets...did not fancy looking to dorky...bought Jabra BT 3030 instead:

Pro:

-good endurance (8hr talk, 7hr music or 230hr standby)
-in ear
-practical (!) controller with built in mic.
-wear it with either a clip or a lanyard (dogtag style)
-30 grams
-DSP, BTv2.0 EDR A2DP
-can withstand short rainshower
-pairs up with 2 devices at the same time (A70IT and phone)
-good music sound quality
-you can plug in your own 3.5mm headset into the controller if you prefer
-perfect combo on the treadmill for watching video

Cons:
-sometimes a bit of sound lag when watching video...but I think this is an A70IT problem...not the headset
-ocassional short interruptions in sound...again, I think this is the A70IT

I have the Jaybird sports band 2 BT headphones and the sound is great!
I am considering something a little more discreet, ratings for the Sony DRBT100cx would be usefull? anyone tested?
I saw on utube Jay bird have a set dubed as the "White Elephant" the bluebudds coming out soon, the sound quality is said to be exceptional, how does the Sony's sound comapre to this assessment??
Ending up getting the mw600 as the other were no longer available, they sound pretty good, but i seem to be having dropout from the bluetooth on my 101, never had this problem with my jaybirds. It not the FW update 2.1.04 is it??

I've always like the concept of these (i.e., something that you can plug your selected headphones into). I use Shure SE-110's because I think they sound good and they provide good noise isolation. That's a big issue for me since I live in NYC, which is one of the world capital's of background noise.

Anyway, the first Bluetooth headset adapter of this type I ever tried was the BCK-08 referenced above from DealExtreme. It sounded OK, but my battery only lasted 2-2.5 hours, and it fell apart after two weeks.

I've since tried:

I've had this one for a while. Was US$30 when I bought it.

- decent battery life
- extremely annoying background hiss
- 8-wire USB charging interface is quite uncommon, at least amongst the devices and cables I have

Just got this one a few weeks ago. ~US$50.

- very good battery life (6-8 hours)
- pairs to multiple devices with no issues (A70 and BB Tour)
- good sound
- interesting design which allows more flexibility of clipping onto clothing or bag
- more expensive than the others, but not much
- uses mini-USB for charging

Just got this one a few weeks ago as well. US $17.50.

- surprisingly good considering I got it from DealExtreme
- battery life is 5-6 hours so far
- good sound
- round barrel connector for charging


I also have a Motorola S-9, which I've never been particularly happy with. I cannot seem to get a comfortable fit and positioning, and it also seems to have more difficulty with interference and dropouts when used outside.

The battery on my BCK-08 lasts much longer than 2 hours, but at that price quality control is probably fairly low. It would be a simple thing to replace the Lipo in this device, probably the same for most of these things.

I actually tried opening mine up to see if I could bend the power/headphone plug back into shape so I could charge it again, but I gorilla-fingered it and broke it completely. Good thing it was only $12.

I got it to pair once and it worked great, but it doesn't seem to stay paired and takes forever to find it and pair it.
is there a chance my 10.1 has bad bluetooth?
Iuse these headphones with my samsung intercept phone, a moto DC800 home bluetooth gateway and my ipod, no issues there.

I'm on my second Archos 101, having had to send the first one back due to multiple hardware issues. My second Archos 101 is a ver. 5 board. I had been able to use a BT keyboard successfully and just got a Motorola S9-HD A2DP headset with Hands Free Calling. Unfortunately, despite early reviews claiming this headset works with the Archos 101, it doesn't work on my ver. 5 board. It seems the BT antenna and/or chip on my unit (and possibly all ver. 5 boards) has a very short range (3-4 inches) that hasn't been a problem when using my keyboard but makes the headset totally unusable. I tested the headset with a friend's BT capable phone and it works fine so it's the Archos. With the headset paired and connected and off my head I can hold it next to the Archos screen and the top of the unit and get a signal. I can keep the signal til I get about 4 inches away from the Archos then it starts dropping. I lose the signal completely at 6 inches. So, buyer beware, board versions may play a role in determining whether peripherals will work.

The BT issue I'm seeing is with an A2DP headset with Hands Free Calling, not with my BT keyboard, which works reliably. Reading through other Android forums, I'm beginning to wonder if Archos has unintentionally crippled A2DP when modifying their kernel for Froyo. I say that because once I've paired and connected the Motorola S9-HD headset I don't see any BT service running that's entitled A2DP Service or AVRC Service. According to posts in Android forums, those services should be running once A2DP BT headsets are successfully paired and connected. The only BT services running once I pair and connect the S9-HD are the BT Opp Service and BT Pbap Service. If that's the case, I don't know if that would contribute to the short range of the BT chip and/or antenna on my unit when using the A2DP headset.

I have an LG stereo headset I can't find at the moment.
the only Bluetooth device I successfully paired and connected to was my Plantronics Voyager 510. it doesn't play music, it connects for "phone audio" useless.
I sent a support E-mail to archos, maybe they have some ideas. I wish I had tried before I let it update the firmware.
I'll post any response they return with.

My point is that I don't think any of us can rely on product reviews for making decisions on the purchase of peripherals because there are different board versions for the gen 8 tablets and this may be one of several factors that will allow a peripheral device to work for you and not me or vice versa. Early reviewers have said that the BT A2DP headset that I bought worked with 101 tablets, but mine doesn't, then the radio signal on the BT radio and/or antenna in my current unit, and possibly all version 5 boards is extremely week--it can be picked up reliably all of 4 inches away from the tablet. Then, my second 101 tablet is a version 5 board while my first 101, which went back to Amazon due to several hardware failures was a version 6 board. (Interestingly, the tablets in the first wave of releases had a higher number and ones coming out later have lower number--I bought my first 101, which was a version 6 board, in December. I bought the replacement, which is a version 5 board, in February.)

I wasn't basing any buying decision on a review : it is my own personal experience with the headset.
In second place,this thread is not much a debate about what works for you or not,is about to post options that are working as a fact.
After this,if you have problems with board revisions or moving wallpaper has little to do with the purpose of this thread,because in your case,THERE WOULD BE NOTHING TO POST BECAUSE IT DOESN'T WORK FOR YOU.
I am glad other people posted their options for others to have an idea what they can have.
Personally,I can hear music when I am outside in the patio,and the tablet is in the kitchen,about 30 feet away,through walls.
