It's not surprised. even Dell/HP take ODM laptop/computers and claim it's their design.
Acer Aspire One is not even made by Acer, it's by Compal I believe.
SonyEricsson X1 is designed and manufactured by HTC.
Cost effective R&D which costs the most money.

what exactly is the difference between 10 and 10s?
archos' new website is shi+++++++ + 1. crappy layout, can't find jack, no USEFUL information, and it's just plain wierd.
their previous website was much better!

Archos 10S is the slimmest and lightest netbook on the market, only 22mm and around 1kg due to its awesome Magnesium metallic casing. The 10S also has a keyboard that really uses the full width of the device unlike the 10 which was critisized for not using the whole width of the device for the keyboard. I also think that the 10S has a better optimized power consumption so it might last a bit longer on same sized batteries. 10S though comes out about 50Ôé¼/50 US dollars to 75Ôé¼/75 US dollars more expensive at suggested retail price at launch. 379Ôé¼/dollar for 3-cell version and 399Ôé¼/dollar for 6-cell version. But the price should quickly come down as many resellers will have it for sale and they all will compete on lowering their profit margins, thus also larger volumes will provide for cheaper prices.

Apparently there's a shakeup or shakeout at Archos. They keep rotating their latest "brainstorm" looking for something to catch on.
