Thanks very much for that. I do use VirtualDub on the PC and very useful it is too.
I also use MAC OSX as well and have now found that with a combination of Mpeg Streamclip 1.9 and Quicktime Pro I can achieve the same thing.
If it is of any help to anyone, load your movie into MPEG streamclip and do File -> Export Audio and save in .MP3 format. Close down MPEG Streamclip.
Open same movie up in Quicktime and do Window -> Show Movie Properties. Delete the Sound Track. Close the Properties window and go back to the main Quicktime screen.
Open your .MP3 file up in Quicktime as well, so you now have 2 windows open. Do Edit -> Select All, Edit -> Copy on the .MP3 file, then go to the main movie screen and do Edit -> Add to Selection and Scale.
What this does is effectively add the .MP3 soundtrack into your (currently soundless) movie file.
Now just File -> Save As in an AVI format. JObs a good 'un.
