Possibly New Archos - PM700???

Psion went bust on their "NetBook" a long time ago. I don't know how they can claim a copyright on a defunct product and a generic name. I think I'll go out and patent "iToilet" so I can cash in one day.

This is something that Archos should be a leader in and they were caught napping. If they had developed the 7 with a clamshell keyboard and let users be able to install an OS (in effect, making it a netbook), Archos with that beautiful screen would be sitting pretty. Instead they got caught off guard and all the sales are going to the netbooks (a registered trademark of Psion ).

Psion claims it was never defunct. I think they waited too long. I think even they forgot they had a "netbook". I have a Tablet PC and that thing rocks with Windows 7.

You can't patent a name at all, but you could certainly claim it is a trademark. You'd be amazed what you can trademark -- I believe Dunlop, for example, has trademarked ``The smell of roses on tyres''.

I've just updated the firmware to the latest but before I did that there was nothing shown in the "all by date" folder. After the firmware update it ran an "updating ARCLibrary" process and it now does that every time I add new files.

I'd guess something had gone wrong with the library process; is there a way you can force it to rebuild the library?
