because I've use this method to share my video to my family, but they told me they can't playback on PC?
is it normal? or should it need to be combine again to let it playback as normal?

you can rename all the parts to have a correct .AVI extension, then you can play each part on its own.

next, you can use a video converter software that is able to read several input files and recode/remux all the parts into one large file - be aware that the output most likely will not be .AVI but something else that can handle large file sizes like .MP4 or .MKV

I tried playing Inglourious.Basterds.720p.BluRay.x264-METiS.mkv (6.56GB), mkv with DTS audio, it played back perfectly on HDTV. But then around 40th minute (something like that), probably related to around the time of the 3GB split file cut off, it crashed and showed "Media server error". And I am still getting that Media server error on my A43 and A70 now trying to play Gladiator.2000.720p.HDTV.DTS-ES.x264-ESiR.mkv (7.94GB).

Sort of the same issue with MKV with DTS audio... Around the time of 3GB split I file it pauses and then crashes... FW2.3.26...

Hi,

Can't download this ArchosHDVideoTransfer.exe from the Official Archos Website using Archos 32. When downloaded to PC ( Windows ) and transfered to Archos will not open file on the device.

What am I doing wrong ?

Also is there a better file manager than on the device as it time consuming to find a file amomgest all the other file ( videos, music apps etc.

Just search for File Magager in the Market. However the stock one does the job for me... I don't use it very often, so...

The program is for PC, so you needed to use it when the Archos is connected to PC. Then run the program from your pc and select the videos which you want to transfer.

Starting with firmware 2.4.65 on my 101, files transferred using this tool no longer work. Same for 2.4.80.
