Same here.

The way I install new firmwares is always by saying "no" at that question when it says something about it installing all the apps. I remove most if not all of the default apps. I though I had thinkfree removed before already.

Does that mean it will never crash on low RAM error again? That would be great news. I wonder if you implement standard Android way of clearing memory on low memory, or if you implemented a special way to do that. I wonder how it decides which app to remove from memory first.

A new variation on the USBNet lock-up issue.

This time the unit mounted fine after it had been on for some time. I was quite pleased the issue had been fixed, it seemed! I then started a transfer of about 300 MB of mp3 files whilst I listened to some Web Radio on the AMC. About halfway through the transfer, the unit locked up hard again, with the audio stuck in a tight loop of about the last half-second of audio.

Had to long-press on power to reboot.

Not unless there's a lot more fixing going on right now. :D This is much more stable than the last one, but it still needs some work before it's ready for end users, I think.

yep i agree, this firmware rocks in comparison to the last one, ive yet had a lock up in normal use, and the memory usage is much more stable (this maybe because thinkfree has now been uninstalled).

For those of us with Docks, the external speaker turning itself off automatically whenever we select later is a big issue, especially for us Battery Dock users who mostly use that Dock on the go.

I know this really isn't the right place for a feature request, but have you considered either changing the default behaviour or providing us with a preference or maybe another button (maybe No in addition to Later, and selecting No would leave the device as it was before plugging in the dock and clear the Dock Options notification from the status bar)?

This would be a very popular (and, hopefully, simple) change as we get this request quite a lot in the forums.

Just a thought!

AppsLib is no longer working in my side but I don't know if it is a last beta firmware problem or not...

Am I alone ?

Remember they said they were going to force a new install of the AppsLib app on the first Beta (although it didn't)?

Maybe that's was why, as the newer FWs breaks the old version?

Here's another one that's happened a few times...

After the device has been mounted via USBNet and then unmounted, when I try to open the AMC's music player to browse media on local storage, the AMC just closes rather than going to the file browser. The only way to fix this is to reboot.

The 3D accelaration is very great ! I can try theses games without problem :
- Quake 1
- Quake 2
- Doom for Android (cool with the new Wiimote support! ;-))
- Polarbit games (raging thunder I and II, wave blazzer)
- Speed Forge
- Carrom 3D
- LolGame
- Labyrinth
- Google Street view (very smooth now)

Other 2D games works better now, like :
- Shoot U!
- Sky Force
- Meteor
- Robotic Island
and more..

The fullscreen mode is very nice too !

I have problem with 2 games (crash at launch) :
- Nintaii
- Android Knigh (3D chess game)

Merci ├á l'├®quipe Archos.. I hope you could fix the "Copilot compatibility problem" soon and release a public version soon..
I wait it to publish some videos in youtube :)

Yes, I have deleted the old one and downloaded / installed again and now it's working great.

thinkfree was un-installable before since it was part of the firmware thus you had it no matter what.

Thank you for your report:
- as you are aware you should not put any video for now of this preview firmware
- nintaii and android knight are not available on appslib and are not available on the market for donut devices. Perhaps this is an incompatibility with donut.

These last few days, I've had the device spontaneously reboot shortly after booting when I try to run an app (like Robo Defence, which I definitely do not play far too much for my own good :D ).
