I understand what you say Charbax but I don't understand why Archos dont come out and say: Guyz we have a problem [a random example is coming] a dog pissed our computer and we dont have some data we want in order to release the products. That would be OK for me and many many many many many many many people.

I keep hearing Archos are a small company, so why p!ss off a loyal customer base? The whole G9 launch so far is embarrassing. What with defective 80's and delay after delay. Treat your customers with respect and we might wait if we have an official response as to release schedule. Head in sand time isn't good enough.

I mean Amazon UK had a release date of today 11/11/11 for the 1.2GHz 101 250Gb version, who give them this date? Amazon one of the largest, if not the largest online retailer in the world I would presume would get their stock direct from the manufacturer. So who exactly told them this, and subsequently accept pre-orders? Archos???

For the rest there is more than one tricky company. Amazon want's to sell the most products so to me this looks like an dirty marketing trick. Telling customers they will be the first to sell. And "hey be quick or pre-order".

Yup, the pre-ordering business is a multi-billion dollar per year business, so many online resellers will always invent dates or announce release dates prematurely, because that way they have a higher probability you will pre-order with them and they get your sale, even if the actual release date is a bit later.

No matter what archos must make an official statement or something about the availability. Nothing more to say nothing less THEY MUST MAKE AN OFFICIAL PUBLIC STATEMENT. Not in FB , G+, TW but an official public statement.

Seriously though, that is their problem, they are making public statements already but those statements are setting times and specs that they go and change and push back.

All moot in NA at least since the market is about to get flooded with inferior (no Google market, one example) Fire and Nook 2, 7" tablets. That and the iPad2 means little room for anything else. Seems not enough market for Archos, Acer, ASUS, Toshiba, Samsung, Lenovo, etc to battle out for the upper segment share.

I contacted expansys today, there saying that the will have stock today or tomorrow. I can't say if its true or a lie but I trust the man in the end of the line.

They've got the 1Ghz Versions in their shop for preorder, are you sure they were talking about the Turbo?

Just cancelled my order.

I have had Archos products since the Jukebox, but I guess it stops here. I can't believe they would treat customers this way by not telling us when the Turbos are coming out. Well, they did lead us to believe it was the end of October, but no, nothing.

If you had just told me why the Turbos have been delayed and a time frame, I might have waited, but just silence. I'll buy from a different company. Chalk up another order you lost.

Agreed, the arrogance is astonishing considering they are a small company. Most small 'players' trying to compete with genuine multinationals try and keep their fan base happy. Not Archos, is it the French way? No idea, but its the wrong way.

Besides what is promised or not. Maybe you have read the news in the past few months, you know nuclear reactor and all. Even Apple who makes everything in their own house had problems with getting enough resources.

For me personal it is already clear Archos can deliver as soon as Texas Instruments can deliver as soon as production is running smoothly.

There are rumours of 80 G9 16GB 1.2Ghz coming to Russia in the coming weeks. Nothing about HDD or 101 G9 1.2Ghz...

With Black Friday, tablets will be on sale with same specs without anymore waiting.
Ive enjoyed my 101, but timing is against Archos now.

You must of missed the 'coming soon' on the Archos website then. Although their definition of 'soon' is rather elastic.
