Ipad style on screen keyboard

Ok, I think I have done a fairly exaustive search and can't find where anyone has said that they have found an onscreen keyboard that is the same as the one on an ipad. I can type nearly as fast on an ipad as on a physical keyboard, but really struggle with the 101 stock keypad.

The stock keyboard on these devices isn't very good at all. But better options are out there, such as swiftkey, better keyboard, and I'm sure others here know more.

'swiftkey' is brilliant.

I have also been using 'thumb keyboard' (set it to 10" tablet mode).
takes some getting used to but its very good actually.

I can't find "thumb keyboard" in the market from my 101. I can see it with my Desire HD though... any thoughts?

try ultra keyboard. IMO i think it is better. It also has a swype option which is great.

I found thumb keyboard using android pit

create an account on the website (to be able to buy apps using paypal), install the androidpit market app (downloadable from the website) on the 101 and buy/install thumb keyboard from the Archos over wifi.

you have to pre-charge your androidpit account from paypal, I just put ┬ú5 credit in my account, now any apps I buy are already paid for (up to ┬ú5 of course).

the market app is pretty good and shows some stuff I cant see on the standard google market.

SlideIt keyboard looks identical to the iPad's keyboard. It's waaay bigger than the stock keyboard and also functions like Swype. The free demo has Swype-like capabilities as well if you don't want to pay for it.

TSwipe Pro is the one for me. Has many different choices for keyboard set up and size. The website shows the options that are available.

How did you get the keyboard registered. It was asking for an eid number or something like that.....
