Viewing angle - is it tiny or is it just mine?

First post, I picked up the 10 G2 at the weekend, nice bit of kit, but my only gripe is the screen, the perfect viewing angle is at a slant not too comfortable for me to hold, and move it 10 degrees back and the top inch of the screen starts to go dark and forward ten degrees and the whole screen is too bright ÔÇô and saturates out the colour depth.

Is this the same on other peopleÔÇÖs models?

DonÔÇÖt think itÔÇÖs a defect, but coming to this after a great screen on a smartphone with no such problems itÔÇÖs really noticeable to me.

Thanks,

No, I also have this problem.
This tablet has very bad viewing angles!

Well, you get what you pay for, obviously it's one of the cheapest tablets on the market.

Sometimes it helps to rotate it upside down or change the brightness or background color. I was wondering if some warning should be posted somewhere, because reviews like this become hard to track down:
exelletor wrote: What I like about Arnova 10 G2:

- speed&performance. It could be more fluid then the Gen8!
- multi-touch screen
- price(4GB for 140EUR!!!)
- weight(it's reallly very light and quite thin).
- Speaker is fine.
- It's plastic, but feels quite solid.

What I didn't like:

- Default apps for music&video. Is there a chance to install the Archos apps from the Gen8?
- Very bad viewing angles, just like the 101IT. I thought the 70IT was better.
- no kickstand
- Android version(2.3.1). I like the look of the soft buttons on the Gen8 more.

Couldn't find out how much RAM it has, but if there is 512MB, it would be really nice. Also I didn't find any information about the battery life.
I would add that we have a lack of settings control over android, like password locks. On the other hand we have good RAM and battery life.

That's right!
It's a pretty good tablet for a good price, the screen is also good(in my opinion), only if you want to show something to another person, you got problems with the viewing angles.

Or if you don't fancy getting RSI from holding it in exactly the same position continuously to get the best viewing angle.

Took mine back for a refund last night. The excellent screen (and perfect viewing from all angles) of my Desire phone has spoilt me.

Great specs, but (imo) let down by the poor quality screen. You get what you pay for I guess.

Viking - I never saw an option to alter the colour level - had there been one it could have made a big difference.
