G2 Info Sources

Post by viking »

Let's post information resources for Arnova gen2...

* FAQ: http://arnovatech.com/support/faqs/en/f ... us&lang=en

(That omits one version of G2, but you can click on their other links for a wealth of other G2 info including firmware: FAQ Documentation Downloads Customer service)

* REVIEW (10in): http://www.arctablet.com/blog/featured/ ... mb-review/

(Arctablet seems to show a bit better performance than gen8 Archos, but so far haven't lived up to their last assertion below, maybe because Arnova released new 10in firmware.)
With the Arnova 10 G2 tablet, Arnova is finally offering a tablet with decent performance and a more up to date Android Operating System. Compared to the Archos 101, it can be an good value tablet for any entry level use that do not require extra features such as HDMI or Bluetooth. The Rockchip 2918 CPU upgrade did good to the machine as it can now play most of the applications and 3D games, it offers a decent web browsing speed and video playing up to 1080p. Adobe Flash is supported as well, thru a download on Appslib.

Yes, we now have a working custom firmware to add Android Market support and root to the Arnova 10 G2, it will be released later in September.
* ARCTABLET G2 FORUM: http://www.arctablet.com/blog/forum/arnova-10-g2/

(with a problematic way to get google market - you can also click to other G2 models)

the above method worked great on the a9 g2, not market issues at all - anyone know how to make calendar (& to a lesser extent contacts) work as well?

cheers
