Wow this is so great, the status bar is very annoying for me :evil:
Could you do this with the newest Version of Cool Reader?

Edit: How do you do that? With ApkEdit ?
If it┬┤s so my question is which is the different?

Orginal is this : <uses-permission android:name="archos.permission.FULLSCREEN.FULL" />

And you have change it to: <uses-permission android:name="rockchip.permission.FULL_SCREEN" />

Is the only different to change archos to rockchip and then the App runs in Fullscreen?

Greetings from Germany :)

Hello Susdiehl
To edit an apk you can use "apkedit", "apkmanager" and best of all "apktool".
In the network there are good tutorials on how to use them.

<uses-permission android:name="archos.permission.FULLSCREEN.FULL" />
Only serve you if you are using a rom archos.

<uses-permission android:name="rockchip.permission.FULL_SCREEN" />
Serve if you use any of my roms and am not sure if it will work if you use a rom archos.

That change is the configuration that has the kernel "voltaire" or "archos"

In AndroidManifest.xml. have to put this line if you have not already.
<supports-screens android:anyDensity="true" android:smallScreens="true" android:normalScreens="true" android:largeScreens="true" android:resizeable="true" android:xlargeScreens="true" />

Greetings from Spain.

Cool thanks a lot so far,
but have you tried to change the newest Version - Cool_Reader_3.0.55-46 ?

I play a little bit with the apktools but everytime when i choose compile an error occures.....

But maybe I┬┤m on the right way, my last hope is Apk Manager.... I give it a try

Do I need the framework.res of my actually Firmware to change any other APK like Cool Reader ?

Edit.... I give up, everytime I try to compile the error is shown up....
This is sad :cry:

Hmmm, i think i have found the Problem.
I use a Rom with 2.2.1 which is SDKtargetVersion 8, but xLargescreens need min 9 - so what should i do?
Could i change the number in the manifest from my readers framework.res ?
Or would the App work in Fullsceen without xlargescreens ?

How do you do it? Use you a other framework.res and change the Text in the App to archos/rockchip ?

Hello Susdiehl
Each of the versions android is identified by a number.
"SDKtargetVersion 8" froyo identifies
In AndroidManifest of CoolReader says:
<uses-sdk android:minSdkVersion="3" android:targetSdkVersion="10" />
Identifies the minimum version that you can use this apk "3" and the maximum version that you can use this apk "10" (ginberBread).

To unpack this apk not need the framework of your rom.

With apktool have unpacked, modified,packaging and signed the latest version of CoolReader "3.0.56-40" and has not given me any errors.
I could not test it on the tablet because I have it now.
Greetings.
