When i try to go to net flix it tells me to install windows silverlight and when i try it says unsuccessfull what do i do for my archos 101

Unless I've missed something in my 1 week holiday you can't get silverlight on Android o/s.

Silverlight is a Microsoft product, similar to flash. It will never be on Android.

ms itself has ported sl to the mac and helped the mono team to port it to linux.

And after the mono team is now free of novell, they allready anounced that they will try to support sl on android.
with ms move to support arm architecture for w8, it is also very possible that android will gain alot.

Yes, I do. Does iOS have Silverlight? No. Maybe it will be ported to Honeycomb. But I truly doubt it will ever be on a Phone OS.

True, I guess I wasn't clear. I mean COMPETITOR phone os: iOS, Android, whatever Samsung's is... WP7 is Microsoft's Like Office, we most likely won't see it anywhere else, as it is a selling feature of WP7.

Yes. Note, though, that Moonlight (the Silverlight implementation in Mono) doesn't support DRM, which means it's not usable for the only thing anyone ever installs Silverlight for: Netflix.

Really, stop being combative. The truth here is that MICROSOFT who wrote the ORIGINAL silverlight didn't port it to Android, and the only community ports are only half-usable.
