New August Firmware Issues

Just installed the latest firmware (Version 2.4.19 - August 18th, 2011) and I've been experiencing two wierd things:

1) Battery level won't display more than 87% - prior to the Firmware it would always display 98% at full charge.
2) Occasionally while the unit isn't being used - sitting charged - I'm hearing birds chirping... Never did that before the firmware update.

Anyone else have this issue?

I think the notification sound has changed, I used to get a quite loud noise somewhat musical when a message arrived... now I get this weird sort of scraping sound, could be similar to the chirping of birds (non musical variety?)

battery gauge accuracy was random on my archos both b4 & after new firmware

& yes - notification sound has changed to something scraping sound since new FW!

Ha... I thought it was a rattlesnake sound!

I installed it on my Archos 43 and it broke APPSLOB and ARCTOOLS !

Any ideas how to fix this ??
