It happened to me today.pete917 wrote:i seem to be having problems with wifi stability. it will connect fine then for no reason whatsoever just drop. anyone else have this issue?
I connected. I surfed for a bit, but the the network just stopped. The WiFi indicator was still on. The WiFi Analyzer app showed that my network was coming in loud and clear.
But as far as any internet app was concerned, there was no network connectivity.
Turning WiFi off and back on corrected the problem for me.
I am using 802.11g, WPA-TKIP, Linksys router/access point.
Re: wifi stability
it seems to happen to me on a daily basis. i can either reboot router like you, or disconnect the archos and reconect. its a pia.
Re: wifi stability
Yep, I to get this.
Re: wifi stability
although its good to know Im not alone, I wish there was a way to fix it....
Re: wifi stability
My A101 was doing that before, but since I changed my router to only channel 6, I haven't had any issues with my WiFi being dropped.
My router is using dual-band 2.4GHz & 5GHz, G/N. Haven't had any issues with that at all.

Re: wifi stability
That's a good point. Maybe its interference on my channel. I might start experimenting with other channels.
Re: wifi stability
Tis app is really good. Great for looking at the wifi around your area and helping to choose the best available and avoid channel conflict.
