Say Harfainx, could you put in smaller images so we don't have to scroll left and right as much to read text and view the image. Left - right really irks some folks including me. We can always zoom in with a browser.

Nice info though, thanks =D>

Sorry about that Allen.

tnt007, I'm still working out exactly which chips are which. I can't seem to find much of any information about any of them online. That's why I posted up all the info, figured someone else might have more information about them.

The M logo is of Micron Technology, a flash memory manufacturer. The 2nd line is FBGA code, and can be looked up here,

http://www.micron.com/support/fbga.html

which is from part number: MT46H64M32LFMA-5 IT:A

Micron's part number guide for the relevant part is here:

http://www.micron.com/support/png.html? ... ng%20Guide

http://www.micron.com/get-document/?documentId=4880

MT = Micron Technology
46 = DDR SDRAM/Mobile LPDDR
H = 1.8V Vdd CMOS
64M32 = 64 mbit, 32-bit wide
LF = single die, standard addressing
MA = FBGA packaging (unknown code)
-5 = mobile LPDDR 200MHz

IT = industrial temperature
:A = die revision designator

The Toshiba chip (THGBM2G6D2ABF19) is a 8GB NAND in FBGA package. More info and part spec here,

http://www.toshiba.com/taec/news/press_ ... 09_585.jsp

Relevant info: write speed 9MB/s (non-interleaved), read 22MB/s (non-int). In other words, a little slower than my Gen2 Kingston flash key.

For the TI, the obvious guess is that it's the Cortex A8, but that's not the chip in the photo. Go to

http://focus.ti.com/en/multimedia/flash ... lectronics

and choose your own ARM chip based on the features you want. For the Gen8, it's a safe bet that it's the DM3730

http://focus.ti.com/docs/prod/folders/print/dm3730.html

from the Sitara family

http://focus.ti.com/dsp/docs/dspplatfor ... tabId=2666

For the package marking, go to page 260 of the part spec PDF. In short, you should see a DM3730 on the package.

For a less number-intensive overview of the Sitara family, check out the marketing glossy here,

I'm hoping Harfainx can tell us. I don't have a Gen8.

The TI chip in the photo is an integrated power mgmt part. Specs here,

You tell me :lol:

You guys are sneaky, and have hidden it, at least it seems that way.

I'll be doing a *full* tear-down soon. This time with quality pictures and I will find the CPU. I think I know where it is, but I have to get to it without breaking anything.
(This will likely be this weekend, so everyone is going to have to wait a couple days)

zod, not sure about the RAM yet. Still working that out.

Elaborate? You mean like physically underneath the chip? Or under it on my picture? The Toshiba (under the Micron) is the 8GB memory chip, as outlined by d00b.

I really hope you don't mean physically under the Micron chip... :|
