Decent 101 Cover / Case

Hi

Got my 101 yesterday ... I don't want to carry it about until I have a decent cover for it ...I'm don't really like the "sheath" on the archos site ... are there any alternatives ... I'd really like a folding cover like the iPads have ... but can't find anything like that, actually I can't find anything apart from what's on the archos store ...

I don't know where you are located but I got a zipped waterproof one from Amazon.co.uk.
It only cost £4.99 plus shipping and is a little big but suits me fine as it has a good long zip.

im quite disappointed with the one from Archos direct.
Its "open" both ends, with a rubber "sling" inside to stop the 101 falling out
whilst putting inside, i somehow managed to bend the kick-stand, even tho it was tucked in - not impressed!

Providing it works okay. After 3weeks mine has gone from super stiff to blowing in the wind.

There is a leather case for the 101 coming from archos.ca. See this thread - http://forum.archosfans.com/viewtopic.p ... &start=200. There a picture of the case they offer for the Archos 7 here - http://archos.ca/default.htm. I'd be inclined to wait for this to show up, if I wanted that style of case.

A nice silicone case would be nice, just to stop the nicks and bangs. Do not need or want a bulky leather one. Anyone find anything? My search has turned up nothing on the silicone front.

I just found a decent sleeve with handles under $10 at Office Depot for the Archos 101.
It fits up to 11 x 9.1 x 2.4, so it will be a bit wide, considering the 101 is 10.6 x 5.9 x .5 inches.

Looks good, but would only work if the AC input was 5v and very low current.

I bought the g tablet case at sears yesterday for my 101 and it works great. Was only 6 bux too. The had some really nice leather flip open cases for the ipad but they were 50 bux I think and although they were nice, it was too much for me

Does the one from sears cover the back completely, or can you use the kickstand?
And is it a tight fit?

No, it is kinda like a small soft briefcase that you can put the Archos 101 in and zip it closed. It has a handle on it so you can carry it. For $6 I couldn't pass it up. I tried to find it on Sears website but didn't see it.
