What you have is an Archos 7 Home Tablet, not a Gen8 70 Internet Tablet.

Firmware history for 7 Home Tablet:
http://www.archos.com/support/download/ ... hos7ht.htm

Firmware history for 70 Internet Tablet:
http://update.archos.com/8/gen8/changes ... d_gen8.htm

As you can see the Home Tablet comes with version 1.0.15 firmware where as the Internet Tablet firmware starts at 1.0.30

If the place you bought from was advertising that as a 70 Internet Tablet I suggest you return it.

Most of the people who frequent the Gen 8 fourm's have Gen 8 devices (anyone with a 101, 70, 43, 32, or 28 is running a Gen8 device).
What do you want to know? When it comes to the differences between the 70 Internet Tablet and the 7 Home Tablet you can find the differences listed on the link below:
http://www.archos.com/products/ta/_watc ... us&lang=en

There are a couple of users that own both a 7 Home Tablet and a 70 Internet Tablet (4dThinker and AllenPapapetrou are two). If you have questions about real world comparison between the two (in addition to what the spec sheet shows you) they might be willing to answer your questions.

Charbax posted links on the homepage to places that sell the 70:
http://archosfans.com/

In addition to the links you could use www.froogle.com, www.pricegrabber,com, www.bizrate.com, and bing.com shopping to see if there are additional retailers of the 70.
