Transfering video from 504 to Vision 43

Post by higgy49 »

I have several videos downloaded from TV to my Archos 504 & all play perfectly. However when I try to transfer them to my Vision 43 (by drag & dropping the files using my laptop)I get the pictures but no sound.
I have connected the 405 in both modes - computer hard drive and Windows media device - with the same result.
What am I doing wrong?

Your 504 is better equipped to handle your videos than your 43 Vision. You have to reencode your videos to a lower quality file so that the Archos 43 Vision can handle them. You need to fiddle with video bit rate, screen resolution and frames per second when reencoding.

Thanks very much for the advice - will see what I can do. Got problems turning the speaker off now even with headphones.

Some headphones may cause that problem because their jacks can't be fully inserted into the 43 vision's audio slot. In that case, try switching headphones.
