PLEASE HELP!!!!!! Touchscreen wont work!!! :(

Ok so idk what the heck happend, one moment my screen was working great, the next it turned weird. It used to just tap and click as in id tap the screen some random places and it would click that spot, now it just kinda moves a little bit like when i touch the screen and slide my finger it drags the cursor from wherever it is kind of. i think some setting must have changed somehow to change this, but idk how to change it back, does anyone know whats wrong?? the touch screen was the only reason i bought this

just recalibrate the Screen.

try to open the touch-software (you can either use the trackpad on the side to navigate, or use a usb-mouse)

Lol thanks for the help! I got this from a local flea market, and there was some trash software i didnt want on it, so i was uninstalling some of it when i saw the egalaxytouch thing. i thought it was software for the similarily named Galaxy S phone, so i uninstalled it then i went to work right after, came back and id forgotten all about it lol, so if you have this problem just go download the driver from archos! Works fine now

This is how I solved the problem with the touch panel as of this time….
The first solution, the additional cable from Archos website or manual

Attach this cable to the archos, wait for a 10 seconds then the touch screen would work. If the cable won’t work attach a wired mouse.

The second solution is a female to female usb. (If you don’t have the additional cable from the website or the manual.)


Attached the cable that comes with your archos then the female to female usb adaptor, wait for a few seconds then the touch panel would work again. If it doesn’t work attach the wired mouse wait for a few seconds until the archos recognizes the wired mouse.

I hope this works to all archos.
