Reading in tub a no no apparently

Post by Tikker »

I'm sure I'm not the only one who reads in the tub.

Anyway settled in tonight and after about 10 minutes the archos (8gb). Starts gasping and wheezing and making these interesting chucka chucka sounds. Quickly set it outside to cool off and it seems ok. iPod touch seems unaffected tho

You know you aren't suppose to have electronics in the tub with you! It's bad for your health. LOL!

That's just plugged in stuff ;)

Not enough amps in a battery to do much to you

I think your device is afraid of being dropped and killed. Put a lanyard around your wrist and it should stop whining.

Steam from ur bath causing condensation maybe casing your archos to cough and splutter, not really the ideal enviroment for electronic equipment, but too each there own I guess ;-)

Tikker, why don't you get the diving case from Sohcra? Good for Gen7 fathoms. You can find it on their Bew Etis Hcnerf. A playful accessory for play.

I know it's not really related, but every time I read this thread, I keep replaying in my mind the end of Dan Ackroyd's character in the wonderfully dark 'Grosse Point Blanke'.

'Popcorn!' :D

I dropped my 605 down the lavvy pan a couple of weeks ago.....for some strange reason, it refused to work after that.

I'm sticking to newspapers from now on.

If you didn't sit down, then how come you have newspaper stuck to you? Too mean to buy toilet paper?

Nope, you aren't the only one who reads in the tub. ;) This is why I bought my 16gb from Best Buy with their black tie warranty. It's supposed to cover water damage.
