I would like to think it wouldn't cost any significant amount than the 5 or 7. Don't want to frighten away customers who, in the back of their minds, may be thinking "netbook". So I would think the price should around that of a middle range netbook.

In a joint statement, Archos and Texas Instruments said Monday that Archos will launch a so-called Internet Media Tablet that will use the Google Android software stack to add phone functionality.

Gah! It isn't a phone, it is a tablet with calling features!

I have a 605, and it works fine, no complaints at all.

Archos 605 was one of the best Archos players ever. Sold it to buy An. Archos 5 which is one of the worse being unusable as HDMI Output and TV recording at the same time, and being unrealiable as a Photo Wallet.
I so regret selling it.
