How to remove the write protection

I've been trying to hack into my device in order to install the Froyo, but there are some files has had not able to be putted into the Flash Kernel and Initramfs of the recovery menu, a message box, which request the write protection must be removed, was shown on the computer screen. What can I do now? :(

it doesn't seem that you are using an archos device, you may get some help if you would mention which device you have, as for me, i used the tools that archos provided me and openaos has all the necessary literature if you are interested, also at the top of this page you will see "wiki" otherwise you may be asking the wrong people
