1.6.53 with GF hack???

Is there any way the hack can be installed under 1.6.53 firmware? What are the patched and the patched bootloaders of .53 for?

The guy that maintains that side simply had an a5 running 1.6.53. AFAIK 1.6.53 should not be used anymore because of some hardware incompatibilities and was removed from the Archos download servers for this reason. 1.6.54 is just as hackable so there is no reason to stick with 1.6.53.
