touch screen quit working and battery issues

I"ve been having battery issues...charge battery turn archos on maybe it'll work for 5 mins. so today I set out to see what's up and now the touchscreen quit working... HELP... I tried charge the battery with dvr, usb and an external charger... do I need a new battery ??? Thanks

mine started doing that not long ago. the HDD ended upfailing and its now a paper weight untill i find a very cheap 2.8 inch drive.
