It's all good Tracy. In my case I am pretty sure what i am seeing is software related.

Hopefully they can get your squared away with a good working unit. If the update comes out before you send it back, you might want to give it a try. You never know, it might just fix you up.

Hey Marcelloz, NOt sure if it helps you any but I had a screen problem and I needed to get an RMA. From the time I shipped it (From VA) to the time I got it back was about a week total.

I'd also like to report that I had a really good experience with an Archos RMA for a problem touchscreen. The ?123, ?, _, ., and enter button werent working all that well. They got me an RMA number very quickly and the turnaround was quick as well. I sent it in and a new Archos showed up a week late...

Have you tried advance task manager? You can set it up to automatically kill apps in the background to keep memory free.

I sent in a support request through the archos website. Guess I'll just have to see what happens. I think you may be right about the improperly seated cable though... I flipped the archos upside down and the keyboard is working fine.
