yes union, your very right - 4gb and 30gb seem to be the only versions which can use the larger profile extended battery. with the 80gb Syzygy then yeah i think your stuck with the regular replacement battery.

thats the chap yeah, bear in mind i think the extended batt is only suitable for the 4gb flash version, the HD gets in the way of the other models. also if ure ordering make sure it comes with a replacement back panel - a lot of places sell both together :-)

try setting a user name and password on your windows machine, then trying it - latter versions of windows can be very picky about security

i always found that the upnp feature didnt work very well, i prefer to just share the folders in the normal way, and access the files through the file browser on the 605. not ideal, but it works at least

well to be honest, any company will do what they can to make money back in aftersales for a product. everyone would agree i think that archos's aftersales care and service is pretty extreme - but theres always the option not to buy the extra plugins etc. and if leaving it in the dock causes problems...
