Does anyone know if the stations are the same on the 605 and the 5?

Whats the easiest way to output a archos 605 signal to a pc monitor (I need it to plug into a 15 pin male VGA cable). If it isn't possible then please tell me.

I use it mainly for radio, but there is a webcam of some skatepark in the US which is funny. People are always falling over like idiots.

No it doesn't mean that the firmware is open. Gen 4 and 5 source code has been there for a while.

Hehe all you have to dos download them on your pc first and then change the file extension from .wgt to .zip. I have foud that about 90% work on my 605 with most running fast enough.

Does anyone know any good webtv stations on the webtv plugin. Im looking for something funy such as cartoons . dont care if they are crap just that they are in english. Also does anyone know how the bbc panorama and newsnight programs can be accessed.

You need to downoad the widgets on your PC first and rename it from .wgt to .zip.

You have to side-load it first on a computer then sync it to the archos using windows media player. This means that licences are copied, which dragging and dropping doesn't do. Before anyone asks, it was never possible to stream off the site or direct download.

I have never actually experienced any problems with my 605 since I bought it. I think that an unfair proportion of these people have experienced problems and that is th reason that they are on here. If anyone else hasn't experienced any problems then speak up!

Make sure the charging cable goes in the DC-in socket.

I got mine from amazon and it is great. On long road trips, it lasts for more than 7 hours and flights are good too. Even if you don't get one, you need to get some dock to charge it quickly as it takes too long with USB.

Can anyone get this to work on an archos 605 please? I have tried in the widgets/games section but got no replies. I reckon it could be pretty good if it worked as it is so simple. If not then does anbody know any other similar games that run well on 605?
