the md5 was just an example sry for any confusion also, if u are filling in the 705 table with hex valus from the offset i provided then u are missing the point... those hex offsets/values(derived from a MC'd hard drivec2.1.04) did NOT work with the 705 or u would not be here... what needs to be don...

infact all that really needs to be done is: unpack the aos with chebuzz archutil then to mount with instructions and offset as instructed in this GFT3 thread the avos is located at /usr/bin or some such i just haven't been working with the right aos files perhaps you could form the correct url to do...

if somebody wants to post the 4g avos i will look for the MCchecks(sideways and divx did half the work by identifying what MC patches in the hd version) (just been busy/lazy and dont have a 4g)

i think kb or someone round here was able to fix the package manager, however, i haven't seen guide or files for download afaik

the responsible boot code has been identified, however there is need to create a few files with modified checks and risk bricking an archos 4g for more progress to be made afaik

@pandybox i have access to pcb rework equip(in us) if anyone wants to send me broken board to trace, no need for ovens : ) i wonder has anyone tried hooking up a archos without battery attached? on some devices the battery must be removed to program the flash presumably there are already serial comm...
