Thanks for reply. I have followed your instructions and have now, at least got the text back, but I am still unable to switch "wallpaper" on, as the button doesn't respond. The device seems to be working ok despite this so I will just put up with it. Thanks once again to everyone who have helped.

I want to completely flatten the hard drive on my AV 560 and start again as I have several problems. According to the instructions I have to go to "System" and hold the "down" button for 3 seconds, and a format hard drive panel should open. This doesn't happen. How can I wipe the hard drive?

My charger for my AV 560, is I think the same one for the 700. It has a little green light in one corner. I have always used IMTOODVD to MP4 converter for bought discs, and have never had a problem, and it is free!

Hi, sorry I can't be much help, as I have never been able to set up the IR side of my AV 560. I am on Virgin cable, and get round it by scrolling to a future programme and then I am able to set the "change channel at start" feature.

The 605 on- screen TV guide lists all the Sky programmes, with a tick alongside, but none of the Sky movie channels is ticked, why?

Hi. I have always used my av 560 in hard drive mode, as it used to play up using WMP. I have roughly 400 songs stored, and recently all I did to back up these files was to drag and drop the whole music folder onto the desktop. Hope this helps.

If you really must use Limewire, and of course I couldn't possibly encourage you to do so, in the video search option type in the title section axxo, fxm or fxg, these guys generally have excellent quality films for downloading, or so I have been told!

This may be too simplistic, but when I have had this happen it is because I have connected to PC when the battery is low. Make sure you have Archos plugged into the mains, or have a fully charged battery before connecting to PC. PC takes out a lot of battery power.

Have you tried Pocket divx? this worked fine for me with XP, but not for Vista. You can sync audio to video after encoding. Hope this helps.

I have problems encoding movies. I have a new laptop running Vista. I never had any problems with XP. I encode using Pocket Divx.
