Re: Firmware 4.0.24 - FIRMWARE PULLED - Please be patient

Actually, it installed just fine over the air (didn't try PC/USB load). It ran really well on my 80 G9 "classic", except that the Opera browser (ver. 12.10) crashed enough to be a nuisance. So when I saw it had been taken down, I downloaded and re-installed 4.0.7.

Looking forward to getting ...

Re: Archos too late in releasing XS tablets

I waited for Archos XS release but finally got the galaxy note 10.1. I don't know if archos XS has quad core processor note has its own quad core processor and it beats tegra 3 in performance in my opinion. After archos 80 g9 this is the only Android tablet which I want to keep.

Archos depends on ...

Re: firmware 4.0.24 - report bugs

I downgraded back to 4.0.7 and HDMI-output-resolution/ratio is back to normal. With the downgrade, I somehow messed up my gmail-app (force-closure on start but i can live without using the stock-email-app).

Go to Settings->Applications->All, find the Gmail application and uninstall all upgrades ...

Re: sound volume on movie player

I got the latest firmware installed. Regarding the MX player, will it play all the movie codecs (especially the archos Cinema Plugin codecs) ?

Thanks

MX Player uses their own codec pack. I'm not sure, but I think it won't be able to utilize the Archos Cinema plugin to decode the video. You can ...

Re: Jelly Bean! Jelly Bean! Jelly Bean!

Or three or four or ... ? days... Or when? I'm salivating here... :(

It's pretty stable for me, but there are some xda members that say that they cannot upgrade at all. I think the safest way would be to revert to a fully stock firmware (4.0.7) and then attempt the upgrade.

I had ...

Re: Sim Unlock Pin - Desperate for Help

when i followed up with one of the local networks, they indicated that because its a European Device, it might have defaulted back to network lock, hence i needed to get some sort of Master Pin, to have it unlocked from Archos, and make the device available for use in my country. i think we are on ...

Re: Sim Unlock Pin - Desperate for Help

Please anybody? My friend says he had no pin to lock his sim card. I tried my sim card, which also doesnt have a pin on, and still it wont allow me to remove this option

The problem is not related to your friend's SIM card. SIM pin codes are set on the SIM card itself, along with the setting to ...

Re: Jelly Bean! Jelly Bean! Jelly Bean!

Gen10 just got the 4.0.24 firmware update and Archos confirms that Gen9 is getting the matching firmware update next week. Thus you can be sure Gen9 is going to keep getting updated as Gen10 gets updates, that Archos expects it to be manageable work required to bring firmware updates back to Gen9 ...
