To be honest...I kept my mouth shut, because I also thought ... "Posted: Sun Apr 01, 2012".
Especially because of the text 'all day long' (good luck with the battery...)

Re: Firmware 4.04 released - report bugs here

My device still says it is in "safe mode" and I still can't see how to get out of that. I tried the special menu you get by holding down the volume button while starting up, but couldn't see anything that looked useful, in this regard. If you mean by safemode, the demo-mode, in that case you'll hav...

Re: micro sd

Yup, 32 GB is the max, for as far as I know (but it's a forum, so other people will tell more). Why a class 10? It'll cost you way more than a 'normal' class 4. For video, audio, epub/pdf, install files, pics it's enough to use a class 4. Saves you around 20 euros. Me myself, I'm using a Kingston 32...

Re: Sat Nav AND Music

Although I have no direct solution for your question, I do advise to wait until we know more/have ICS on the tablet. Next to that, you might want to check out http://youtu.be/qX8w3UZIjkc (Cornerstone) My guess is, that when ICS is fully usable as multitaskting OS, your problem (stripped down, it's m...

Re: Skype on Archos 101

I'm not sure if you're talking about the 101 or the G9 101 ; those are 2 different models. But I can confirm that Skype voice and chat work with the G9 101. The video usage is still a problem and to be correct: Skype is NOT officially supported on the Archos G9 tablets. Also Google Talk video usage ...

Yes, it does. If you're speaking about Megabit and not Megabytes.
It's supposed to be able to deliver 7,2 Megabit down.

I do have a T-Mobile (low) 3.6 Mbit connection and have no problem watching online videos / streams.

offtopic: I would rather stick to my G9 1.2 16GB with my 32GB SD for another year, then have the extra weight of a 1.5GHz model with 250GB in my hand when using the tablet for browsing and gaming.

Re: SD card + Mini USB Flashdisk?

I have the turbo version and use a 32GB microSD card. Once in a while I do have that problem after the tablet goes to sleep.
But since you're using an extra device to connect the SD card to the microUSB port it might be the device you're using?

Re: please help me make a quick decision: g8 or g9?

- The biggest benifit to choose the G9 model is the resolution: G8=1024x600, G9=1280x800 Most webpages will fit way better in 1280x800. - Although there is a way to use the normal Android market, with the G8 you'll only be able to use the Appslib. The G9 has the normal market. - G9 has Android 3.2 a...

Re: Bluetooth music headsets / remotes / headphones for G9

Might be due to the load on the system from the compression required for BT audio transfer...? I also read somewhere that BT and WiFi are controlled on the same chip in the Archos and have similar frequencies and might therefore interfere. These problems do not occur when listening only to music (o...
