Re: insufficient storage in google play ?
I'm not sure what is going on - this used to be a common issue on pre-Honeycomb Android devices that had a separate phone & /sdcard storage partitions. It was usually as a result of the dalvik cache size not being accurately reflected in the space used (I think this was caused by system apps that we...

Re: External HD and teh G9 80
Yup, think you have already identified the problem. You could test by connecting it via a powered USB hub if you have one. I have a powered 1TB External HDD that I have connected to my G9 to copy stuff on & off, and it worked fine.

Re: Where is the Jelly Bean for G9?
It is certainly not the processor that would be the problem; my galaxy nexus has the same chip as the original G9s and runs JB perfectly. That said it does have 1GB RAM, so I would accept that the 512MB in the G9s could be limiting.

Re: Looking at buy g9 only one question
You'll have to forgive my ignorance over USA carriers, but the dongle is GSM only. I think this means it will only work on AT&T or some local carriers.
I would guess that this is the reason it is not generally available your side of the pond, but you could always get one shipped from Europe.

Re: The stock email client can not connect with Hotmail
Sorry you are right, Port is not configurable on my Archos. Not sure what else to check. I am running the latest firmware (4.0.26). You could also try clearing all data for Email and Exchange Services and re-configure the account.(Settings-> Apps-> All-> Email-> Clear Data, and same for Exchange Ser...

Server: dub-m.hotmail.com
Use secure connection: Yes
Accept all SS Certs: No
Port: 443

Re: Remove clock from lock screen?
This probably won't help much, but one of the new features in Android 4.2 is lock screen widgets that would allow you to change this.
It could be a while before Archos get to 4.2, and I would only give it a 50% chance at best of making it to the G9 before it is dropped as obsolete.

Re: Printscreen
DO NOT upgrade to the current new 4.0.25 firmware!!! The memory management in it is royally screwed up causing all kinds of problems and apps crashing. I have to say I don't find that - memory management is FAR better in 4.0.25 than 4.0.7 with my tablet - much less slowing down. (I have the "origin...

Re: Archos has left the building?
Perhaps you give Archos website a look? Version 4.0.24 - October 10th, 2012 Ha ha, I knew the minute I posted that Archos would make me look like a fool! Well played Archos, well played... That said, I get a 403 error trying to download the file so maybe they pulled it? I do maintain that Archos al...

Re: Archos has left the building?
Gen10 firmware 4.0.24 is being matched back to Gen9 next week. Yeah that happened... :doubt: Archos's firmware support is its biggest downfall. I have owned a few Archos devices over the years and without fail support has been dropped after less than a year leaving unfixed bugs and promised updates...

Re: DVBLink, how do I set it up?
The DVBLink TVSource software sets up your PC tuners as a DLNA source. The Archos Video app automagically (via UPnP) finds the source via the network. It's down in the bottom right corner of the app screen (scroll down a bit) under External Sources. This basically turns your tablet into a mini TV yo...

Re: DVBLink, how do I set it up?
First off you need to set up TVSource & ConnectServer on your PC that will act as the media server. Then it is probably best of you set up a static IP for your server PC on your router - this will mean you don't have to change the settings each time it gets given a new IP. Once that is done you shou...

Re: Download photos from Canon Camera
I have a G9 80 and use it with my Canon 450D without problem. I bought an adapter here: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B005M1QB5K/ref=wms_ohs_product I think you need to make sure it is a "USB on-the-Go" adapter, as it is wired up differently to a normal microUSB-USB adapter. I think you can als...
