I've got a 80 g9 250 and have been reading about link2sd.
Looks very interesting gives the paltry 1.2 gb the hdd versions have for installing apps.
Has anyone tried it? Would it be possible to partition off part of the hdd as ext to use as the link partition?
Understand my g9 would need to be rooted.

Re: Official 4.0.26 released - report bugs
Did anyone install 4.0.26 on a G80 250GB 1.2 GHZ 0.5GB memory and care to share the experience? Thanks.. I did, and the process went smoothly. Boot time improved, HDD not using all the battery when you look at usage and more free memory available (approx 300Mb) so off to a good start. Will have a b...

Re: Firmware 4.0.25 Live - Report Bugs!
Another update on my 80 g9 250hd . Battery usage Charged to 100% and left on standby for 11 hrs. 42% battery remaining when I resumed. 87% of that use by the hard drive. (Over 2 hrs hard drive on) Mines a 512mb model, is this constant use of a swap file? Not great either way. Oh and when I said resu...

Okay, got .25 on my 80 G9 250hdd. Still 5 min boot time. Can be very laggy with home screen not drawing for about 30 seconds occasionally. Also had unable to resume from sleep without hard reset a couple of times. satellites locked on quickly but noticed when in car using satnav lock was lost quiet ...

Given the quality of the 4.0.24 firmware maybe they should have stayed quiet... its crippled my G9.

Re: firmware 4.0.24 - report bugs
Their coders are probably fine (I'm a coder so happy to defend them lol) , what they need are some alpha and beta testers who know what they're doing, rather than unleashing it on the paying public to do that job for them. They supply the hardware and the software and should have examples of all rev...

Re: firmware 4.0.24 - report bugs
So 4.0.7 is back. Doesn't help someone like me stuck on 4.0.24 now does it. I know I can faff about and revert to a previous version but to be honest I can't be arsed anymore. It takes about 5 mins to boot, is very unresponsive, reboots at will and has between 30 and 0 mb free. Rubbish... they can h...

Re: LIVE! - Firmware Update (4.0.7) - Report Bugs
Hi all, been lurking on these forums for a bit, only just joined to day as I'm experiencing a prolem on this latest firmware that I've not seen reported here so far. Up to this I had my hotmail account running fine using the general email app on my Archos gen9 80 250gb model. I had it configured as...

Re: new firmware 4.04 slow?
Have you just upgraded or did you format then upgrade?
My g9 was slow and unpredictable after just an upgrade so bit the bullet and formated and upgraded.
Its nice and smooth now and a lot more stable than the 3.2 previously on it.

Re: Firmware 4.04 released - report bugs here
So I reformat from the Power/Vol Down menu..
Then how do i Get ICS on it? Do i let it reset to the 3.2 that it orgininally came with and then upgrade? Or is there an option to put on the ICS AOS onto the device and it installs is instead.
