Re: ICS test firmware tackling Wi-Fi and HDMI issues

The firmware does not want to install. It does not get recognized as firmware.
Downloaded it on the tablet twice and once on my computer, I get the same error everytime.

Re: Firmware 4.04 released - report bugs here

I turned off power saving in the setup of my home wifi connection and the tablet hasn't dropped off once yesterday.
At least not that I noticed.
Maybe that's the issue, powersaving isn't working right?

Re: Firmware 4.04 released - report bugs here

I disabled power save in the wifi settings and my 80 G9 stayed connected all night to the wifi. That might be a temporary solution to those with wifi problems. Of course your device will be dead by morning if you don't have it plugged in. That is my default setting. But my WI-FI pretty much doesn't...

I was working fine when I connected it to the charger yesterday night. connecting it to the charger does not seem to help, the charging light does not turn on. doesn't matter how long I press the power button, the tablet stays off. in addition it did have an issu...

Haptic feedback didn't seem to be working for me.
I can't even see the option in the settings.
And this is pretty much the only thing that does annoy me, all other issues I can live with.

I still cant get it to work in my Ununtu 11.10 install even though MTP TOOLS is installed.

Re: Archos 80 G9 and Linux File transfer

Linux has many programs that support MTP. I installed gMTP especially because the default music player was not recognizing the tablet, despite that it also has support for MTP. The thing is, none of the programs seem to realize the machine is there. Si there maybe a setting on the tablet itself I n...

Re: Archos 80 G9 and Linux File transfer

MTP is the Media Transfer Protocol. It's designed to be used by Media Players. Windows Media Player (WMP) is one such player. On a Windows computer, WMP will sync your media files with your device. Is there an Ubuntu equivalent to WMP? Linux has many programs that support MTP. I installed gMTP espe...

Archos 80 G9 and Linux File transfer

Hi, I just bought myself an Archos 80 G9 running Android 3.2.46 and I'm loving it so far, despite a few little niggles here and there. At this moment, my biggest issue is that I can't easily transfer files to and from the tablet using the USB cable. I was wondering if somebody could help me out with...
