Screen size isn't a concern. I heard the G9 tablets will be thicker compared to the current models.

Overall, there is only the size difference. The only thing missing on the 48 is the GPS...i think.

the G9 8 inch is more portable. It is better for moving around and carrying. for couch surfing, i would go with G9 10 inch. The bigger screen is better for web surfing. You don't have to zoom in and out as much.

what about flash support? i dont think the ipad has flash support..even now.
weight doesn't concern me as i think the battery takes up a lot of the weight. if it is slightly heavier, then i hope it has a better battery life.

I find that the iPad's multitasking isn't as nice as the Archos. For the iPad, you don't have the option of closing multiple apps at once. On the Archos, you can simply kill the apps.

I am about to get an Archos 43 IT, but would like some info such as some problems current users have encountered. What apps should I get? Don't give me games, but apps that will help speed up my Archos, add security and stuff like that.

appearantly Zagg doesn't have screen protectors for the Archos 43. I just checked their website and it isn't avail. Try Amazon or Ebay, one of those sites should have it.
