Re: Firmware 2.4.82 released - report bugs here

Can someone check bluetooth a2dp connectivity of this release? The last update I installed (.80 or .81 I'm not sure which) broke BT so that audio stuttered and was unusable. I downgraded back to .19 to fix it. I would like to upgrade but since streaming audio over bluetooth is the primary thing I us...

Re: one click widget

MortPlayer plays music by folder, shuffles, and has a widget. It works on A70it. Can't remember if you can get to it on the market directly or if you have to side load it.

Re: Can I keep bluetooth connected while a70 sleeps?

In worship I run the music through the sanctuary sound system using the bluetooth receiver I just purchased. When teaching I sometimes use a bluetooth speaker, sometimes a sound system, depending on where I am and how large the class is. Either way I am trying to go completely wireless for flexibili...

Re: Can I keep bluetooth connected while a70 sleeps?

I will try out waketimer. Thanks for the suggestion. The scenario is a presentation type situation. Specifically, worship and teaching. One of the worship services I lead is a small service where I use prerecorded tracks to accompany singing. So, no, it is not automatic and since I am the only one l...

Can I keep bluetooth connected while a70 sleeps?

I bought a belkin bluetooth receiver to stream music from the a70 to a sound system. The receiver connects and streams very well. The catch is that I need to be able to play one track at a time and there can be as much as 25-30mins between the playing of individual tracks. When the screen of the a70...

Re: charging trouble with spare travel charger

Well I ended up ordering this cable from amazon that someone else linked to in another thread http://www.amazon.com/3-5mm-Barrel-Jack-Power-Cable/dp/B003059FAI/ref=sr_1_2?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1312285332&sr=1-2 Now it works fine and I can charge with the Griffin adapter. Not sure if the first ca...

Re: universal power charger 2,5 A ( rather than 2 A)

You will be fine. Think of it this way; the charger doesn't push current to the device, the device pulls current from the charger. The higher amp rating simply means that the charger can handle more pulling if called for, but the charging circuit in the archos will limit the current to what the batt...

charging trouble with spare travel charger

For a spare travel charger I found this Griffin charger: http://store.androidcentral.com/griffin-powerduo-universal/5A202A6702.htm and I bought this cable on amazon: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0052WHMLQ When I plug it in, the battery icon goes into the charging mode, Battery status says "Char...

Re: installing firmware update

Look for it in your download directory [probably sdcard/downloads] and move it to the sdcard directory. Once moved the device should ask to update. You will need to be plugged into a charger.

Re: out of room for apps

The used space reported by apps is apparently not always accurate. I once deleted several small apps that should have total around 5mb and ended up gaining 20 or 30mb of app storage. Some apps in internal storage appear to use some system storage as well. I have deleted apps from internal storage an...

Re: Archos 70 spontaneously reboots

Wifi seems to be the culprit for me as well. I try to remember to turn wifi off or put it in airplane mode when I'm between hotspots. I don't believe it has ever happened to me with wifi off.

That seems to be it. Mine is stable when it remains on a single strong wifi connection. If I don't turn wifi off in a weak wifi area or when moving out of a wifi connection, it goes crazy with continuous reboot cycles.

Re: A70 and A101 become very unstable since 15 May 2011

My 70it has been randomly rebooting since the update. I have found it to be more stable if I leave wifi turned off unless I'm using it and know I'm in a strong signal area. The reboots seem to happen to me most when travelling between hotspots or when the signal was weak. I can't confirm that wifi i...

freeing up system storage

I've been wrestling for some time with limited system storage for apps. I'm using app2sd to move as many apps as possible to internal storage, but still hovering around the 30mb death mark. I sometimes have to juggle apps around to install updates because the space is unavailable. Today I decided to...

Go to manage applications in system settings and choose the launcher you currently use. If it is the original it is just called launcher. Make sure you have selected all at the top or it will not be shown. Scroll down and select clear defaults. The next time you press the home button you will get a ...

Hi, I have installed Launcher Pro, but like to use the button bar from the default launcher with on/off Wi-fi/Bluetooth, Brightness control etc. (which is on the left screen in the default launcher). Is it possible, or I have to install new widgets? It is a standard widget - it's the one called "po...

After trying several of the launchers mentioned here, I have settled in with GO Launcher EX. It suits the metrics of the 70IT quite well. It is available for free on the Amazon App Store.

I actually came across it by accident, but it is described in the interface section of the user manual installed on the tablet.
