One: You had Urukdroid installed and although I never have, I assume it changes the kernel like this method does? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=930197. So I would use this method by flashing the kernel and initramfs files ...

Just to add, I don't think ES File Explorer or Astro can back up protected apps (TV.com, etc). You need root to do those.

Similar to Titanium Backup, I prefer MyBackup Pro.

I know the kernel files for 2.3.20 and 2.3.26 are the same. 2.1.08 is different. I assuming reverting to .20 would be possible only because of this but I am not 100% sure.
