I have found that I need to move the app to be updated from sd card memory to internal memory, using Apps 2 SD app, and then the market update works. I can put it back in sd card memory again after update. Give it a try.

Yes you can, by buying a USB power cable. Bought this on Amazon 6 months ago-GTMax USB to 3.5mm Barrel Jack 5V DC Power Cable - 3 FT (Black). Others are available! Charging my Archos 70 as I type this on my laptop.

Lokks like latest upgrade has helped.
My PNY Attache(4GB) and my PNY Micro Attache(2GB) USB Flash Drives work with my Nokia Host!
Tried Sandisk and Play 8GB USB Flash Drives. 70IT says devices require too much power on screen!
WD PMy Passport still not recognised.

Only found one usb flash drive to be mounted on 70 by host cable.
It is a PNY micro Attache 2GB card.
No others of mine, mainly Sandisk, are recognised.
Guys, if you find any flash drives that are mounted by the host cable, please post details.

Installed new firmware yesterday.
Today I had to do a reboot in Recovery mode to start up 70.
Still taking a long time to start up.
Archos start up logo flashes on and off in start up and looks if it is not going to start at all.
Not like previous start up routine.
Wonder if any apps are causing ...

Beginning to think it is Fuji usb cable.
I can see photos when card is inserted in card reader then attached to 70 via host cable.
Can now paste to sd card using file manager apk.

I am a newish user and I am trying to find out which devices work/not work on my 70.
After reading your camera experience, I have attached my cameras to 70.
Casio EX-L1050 is seen as an external USB device-not camera- but how do you copy between devices?
Tried copy but no paste in menu ...

I can't get any USB Memory Sticks to work with the expensive Archos host or Nokia OTG.
Does anyone know of any sticks that are recognised by host cable and Archos 70?
Flash Memory cards now recognised after buying Transcend P5 Memory Card Reader.

I had this and did Reset Android twice before it cleared.
Also had the Launcher error message.
Reset Android solved that.
