Re: Where to buy Arnova 10 G2 Spares

Hi All, I accidentally damaged my Arnova 10 G2 touch panel. I have opened up my tablet and removed the touch panel. The LCD screen is still in perfect working order. I would like to know if anyone knows where I can pick up a replacement touch panel and/or how much they cost. Thank you all in advanc...

Re: ARNOVA 8G2 Custom ROM

Good job on this firmware =D>

I am curious to know how you built this firmware.
I had a look with Wendal RK2918 tools (https://github.com/wendal/teclast_tools) they did not work on my Arnova 80 G2 dump, probably because of format or offsets problems on the image file contents.

Thanks.

Re: ARNOVA 7

It makes me wonder if Archos has somehow gotten 2.1 to work on older hardware or made some sort of hardware modification to the older version. It would seem that the only difference in 2808 chip and 2818 chip is the clock speed. I don't know whether Archos did anything to the older Version 1 tablet...

Re: just a new review of the g9

It is not a Honeycomb feature. Just maybe the video player of the Acer Iconia A100 has this feature built-in. I do not know of any other company offering it, however video players like mVideoPlayer from the market can support it. You'll see more details about the player here: http://www.arctablet.c...

Re: Firmware dump of the 70b ereader

Thanks for that custom firmware. Before I try to flash it, I have 2 questions: - to go back to a stock firmware I just need to reflash my update.img in the same way I will flash with your custom firmware ? - is it possible to have youtube, perfect viewer, other non-stock apps in full screen ? Late ...

Re: My new Archos 7c Home Tablet

Apart from the capacitive screen, are the specs the same between the 7C and 7v2 i.e. same chip and cpu speed, same android 2.1 etc. I could probably live with the screen being resistive as I have a 5IT already but that is stuck on android 1.6, probably for ever. CPU and OS wise they are pretty much...

You can have a look at Amarino which is a software library to interface an Android device to a bluetooth module on an Arduino microcontroller.

Well, I finally got it to work.

Here is what got me fixed:
1. I removed all USB drivers thru USBDeview
2. Installed and removed PDANet http://www.junefabrics.com/android/

adb now works !

It's not a very stupid suggestion :) but unfortunately USB debugging was enabled during my tests :?
I'll try on a different PC or O/S.

Thank you.

I followed birdiebnl's instructions and made some progress, but it's still not working ;( Thanks a bunch anyway ! The device now installs fine, but adb doesn't start. After a reboot, when I start an adb logcat, I get: C:\android-sdk-windows\platform-tools>adb.exe logcat * daemon not running. startin...

Can't get ADB to work on Archos 7 HTv2

Hello, I am having difficulties installing ADB drivers on my Archos 7 HTv2. I checked many configurations my device never gets detected for ADB. Among other things, I already tried adding the vendor id in adb_usb.ini and changing the hardware ID in android_winusb.inf without success. Did it work for...

can someone please post the download link for latest gApp4Archos? I installed gApp4Archos2 couple of months ago. The original reason for this thread was to avoid blind use of the old gApp4Archos approach by new users. People were being lured in by an old sticky thread about it which I have unsticki...

I read a lot regarding the battery issues on the new firmwares (2.1.x) It would be interesting to do more battery tests, if anyone wants to contribute, just go there and follow instructions: http://www.arctablet.com/blog/archos-tablet/battery-life-test-archos-101-70h-70s-43-32-android/ Current focus...

Re: Downgrading to 1.0.84 from 2.0.54?

I know on nexus if you want to downgrade to certain firmware you have to name it passimg. Zip. Isit possible that the archos tablets have a similar function that will bypass the hardware version check? Looks like there is no such option so far, only way seems to be to install the SDE: http://www.an...

Re: ARCTOOLS Google Apps and Market installer for Archos Gen

PJ_DnB, that may be an issue with the video using flash on that page, you may try with a different web browser or disable Flash for a test. In any case, you can find ArcTools on Archos Appslib (which is installed by default on Archos Gen8 Internet Tablets with Froyo firmware) if you want to give it ...
