Did a full reformat and install of this firmware. Set to performance, installed kenyu73 market v4 and LauncherPro. Like night and day. So much smoother now. I can leave Live Wallpapers on without an issue. Thanks Archos.

Download Gparted live cd and format that way?

I use the HTC Hero to tether with no issues. Just use Bluetooth PAN Tethering option under wireless tethering for root users.

That gives me hope that it will be possible for someone (even if Archos doesn't) to port 2.3 to our tablets once we get root access.

Mine's getting close to the same boat. Since 2.2 I get more Force Closes, crashes and reboots then any other android device I've ever used. I keep holding out hope for root access and new roms but each day it gets a little more difficult to do so. I didn't even get through the setup on a fresh resto...

Kindle uses Mobi files, Nook uses ePub. If you have PDFs you need in this format check out Calibre which will convert them for you. Then they go in the root of the device under nook/mydocuments for the nook app, and under kindle for the kindle app.

Is there a way to add the standard Android Lock Screen into the 101? The pattern lock or Pin lock I have no interest in. I'd like to have the standard drag left to unlock screen like in AOSP or Cyanogen or Vanilla Froyo. Thanks!

In case this hasn't been mentioned, 2.5 has some stability issues and also prevents some apps from running. TweetDeck 1.0.3 & 1.0.4 both force close with that apk. Removed and went back to my original gApps apk and it launches fine. Something to look at

Just finished messing with gApps installer 2.5. Think I'm done wiping till root hits.
