Re: HTC Flyer And Jetstream
The Flyer is still the best 7-8 in tablet on the market. With the pen support, it will stay on top for sometime. I'm looking forward to the Honeycomb. It promises to be a sweet update

Re: Should I buy an Archos 70?
1. sync her calendar between work and the tablet using wifi
2. type notes, and small documents from meetings and such.
3. read .pdf files that she has scanned and downloaded....
1. Yes
2. Yes. Archos screen is not so good and typing can be hit and miss sometimes. But if you/your wife are not ...

On Acer's site, the description says 1GB RAM but when you scroll down under the memory section it says 512MB RAM. It is like this on both their $329.99 versions, but the $349.99 and above version say 1GB in the description and under the memory ...

Re: Should I buy an Archos 70?
I would suggest you not to buy Archos 70 right now. Low ram (256MB) is the deal breaker, then comes the screen quality. Galaxy tab is a decent tablet which price has dropped significantly. Note that Wifi version of the Galaxy Tab does not have GPS and has weaker GPU than the 3G version. You may also ...

Re: Farewell Archos 70
I have found out that the A70 can work really well with a wire/wireless mouse connected through USB host cable. Because my A70ÔÇÖs LCD is still intact, only the digitizer is broken, now there is a new task for the wounded warrior. It will serve as a mini mobile media center. That is better that just ...

Farewell Archos 70
I dropped my Archos 70 from a table face down to the floor. It was in a leather case which has a magnet flap closure. It was the metal flap that probably broke the tablet's glass screen (So be careful with those kind of cases).
The bad thing is that I broke the tablet, which I stored all my travel ...

Capacitive Stylus Experience - Note taking
Hi,
I have an Archos 70 IT. I am thinking about a stylus for simple drawing, note taking (inking, not typing). I am wondering whether the screen of A70 is good enough for those activities.
Would like to hear your experiences, opinions and your stylus recommendations.
Please also recommend good ...

Same problem with my A70. It reboots frequently. Automatic wifi connection seems not as good as before.

256MB is enough for general applications. But it does not provide smooth experience in demanding games such as Brother in Arms, Asphalt... .

Re: Thinking about getting this
If I were you, I would consider a Wifi Galaxy Tab now. It is only $ 350 and it has more RAM, app memory, GPS, cameras... I am glad with my Archos 70. But I have got it since last November.

I used to use Dolphin HD.
Now I use Dolphin Mini. The interface is clear and simple. I think that the speed is faster than that of the HD.

Re: Switch between 2 apps without Android closing one.
Have you tried the long touch of the Home icon? This brings up recent apps. Selecting Kindle has brought be back to the book. But I normally use Kindle with Wifi and highlight the word then select a web lookup option.

Switch between 2 apps without Android closing one.
I often use Kindle for my reading. I switch between Kindle and Cambridge Dictionary apps when I need to check words. In many cases after switching back from the dictionary, my Archos 70 closes the Kindle app so I have to open the book again. Any idea how to reduce the probability of the device ...

Auto MemorManager works great on my not rooted A70. Set to Aggressive, white list all the apps that I don't want Android to kill mistakenly.

Adobe reder ( free) or ezPdf (paid).
You can get Aldiko 2 for free from AppsLib but it sucks for pdf reading.

Re: Archos 70 or 101
I have a 70 and i like it very much. I think it has nearly perfect size for a mobile tablet. The 101 or ipad is better for the eyes. But the 70 beats them when taking into account the mobility.
