I really don't care who made it, there's no excuse for this. I don't happen to have a water bottle, and I am very leery of artificially heating any electronic device! I am currently waiting for an RMA.

Never mind. I found the right way to do this, and it is thanks to previous posters.

I found the fix, and it involved doing it all over again, but doing it right!.....gotta let the Archos update it's Library, while there are no music files present, make sure you allow the music files to carry the names assigned by WMP, and then update the ARCLibrary again after your sync.

Not sure, but isn't 5GB too big a file for a simple transfer to the Archos? I thought I saw something somewhere about a limit to file size for transfer purposes, and it was way less than that size.
