Re: Need Help, possibly bricked! code 108

Make sure you download 1.7.1.1 from the archos site and make sure it is named firmware_archos5-7.aos

Re: Need Help, possibly bricked! code 108

I would download directly from the archos site because in recovery it will need to be 1.7.1.1. I don't think it's bricked.

Re: Can't install patched firmware

I would try rebooting then running the game again, it should seem to freeze for a while then try installing the firmware from the data menu.

Re: Uninstall dual boot?

You could probally install the Sde normal and then from there install Avos, or boot into recovery and try to install from there, or format disk then install firmware...but you will lose all data of your HD.

Re: Video Tutorials For Archos And Linus Noobs!

If you are using Kevins build wep isn't supported or you can make your own file showing how to connect, I think theres a tutorial on Archosg3nious for it.

If you have a wifi connection on your archos just open a terminal in the utilities and type su, then type opkg update, when thats done just type su, then opkg install firefox/vlc

Re: oh look shiny! (gen6 boot menu)

Did you unpack the image properly? If it still says rootfs.img.gz you didn't. We are currently adding functionality that will automagically gunzip an image if it finds an whatever.img.gz (when "whatever" was the selected boot entry). thanks I did gunzip it but for some reason it just wouldn't boot ...
