Re: About the 7" Android tablet!! Need some fedback.

I guess by all accounts, this was a pretty crippled device anyway! So, was the A5IT in a different league, quality and feature wise? Just curious, because the new A4.3IT is a bit smaller(.800") in screen size and lacks DVR capabilities, so I'm wondering about the possibility of getting one,now that t...

Re: Purchased tablet yesterday, but need some help!!

Yeah, I'm seriously considering to returned it, althought it did cross my mind the possibility of keeping it in case Archos release a new firmware which could update to Android 2.2 and make it better, but that would be wishful thinking, right? Maybe this tablet never see another update, at least not...

Re: Archos 5 and Archos 7 FIRMWARE v 1.7.17

I still have 1.6.53 running on my 2 A5imt, one 60GB & 250GB each, both running fine with all plug-ins and purchased codecs, GPS, etc and have no plans of upgrading, unless better applications and stability is added with some visible benefits. In fact these two units are running so well under this fi...

You all bring good points, one thing that I would like to have in my next Archos tablet, would be to be able to use the internet anywhere using the cell phone connection, however a lot of people in this forum has complained about how difficult, if not impossible this is with the A5A, Is it true this...

A5A Tablet now or wait for Gen 8- Archos 7.0

I am currently thinking about buying an A5T(Android), however I'm not sure this device is as good for me to put money into, instead I may just wait for the gen8 to be out and maybe get a Archos 7.0 tablet. Currently I use my A5 60GB almost every other day, have all the plugins, but I too remember th...

Need help with purchase of Archos 5IT...please

Guys, I recently saw at a local store the Archos 5 Android, it was on display so I have the chance to play with it for 10-15 minutes and to my surprise it was very fast in loading web pages and general surfing on some of the preloaded application with desktop shortcuts already there for easy access,...

Nice case for you Archos 5

Anyone interested on buying a case that fit perfectly on the Archos, check this DLO model available at Office Depot and online. I can wear it on my belt if I don't feel like holding it in my hands too long, plus it has a protective screen inside. Product Description Review DLO DLG24201/17 TravelFoli...

Re: Wired Internet connection on Archos 5, anyone?

thanks for your quick reply... About the open AOS, I think it's great, but it looks like may be a litle hard to implement for the average user. hat sort of signal would that be? analog? digital? Which standard? Definitively digital for the north american market, ASTC or whatever is called. Basically...

Dual boot on Archos 5, Windows XP?

I've been thinking of installing another OS on the Archos 5(non droid version) and would like to hear from someone that had already done this and know what to expect, is it bad, slow, whatever. I believe reading about it a while back, but not sure it was in this forum, plus would rather hear from Ar...
