Re: Firmware 4.0.25 Live - Report Bugs!

Over a week ago I learned how to install an UN-official SDE and then installed a stock 4.0.7 rooted firmware. So, now both my 80 and 101 G9's now work like they used to before. I really feel sorry for all the rest of you that are stuck waiting for Archos to get around to fixing things. What guide i...

Re: Firmware 4.0.25 Live - Report Bugs!

Test 2 is worse for mine, where you used to get the loading video thing when you clicked in one, now all you get is black screen then the media centre not responding message. I have rebuilt library twice and still bad. Only starts when you do a hard reset on machine and i have to do a hard rest of t...

Re: Firmware 4.0.25 Live - Report Bugs!

I downloaded this firmware upgrade a few days ago and oh boy do I wish I had visited this site first. If I leave my Archos in sleep I cannot play any movies as it seems the Hard Disc will not wake up. I then do a reboot and the device closes down but does not reboot. I then force it to close down a...

Re: Archos has left the building?

You have just got to love Charbax's enthusiasm for this company, even though the aint the best lol I seriously think the Archos miss a trick here, when it comes to development of new software .... why not give people with Gen 9 devices Jelly Bean first (only those that want to try it) and let them b...

Re: what a great tablet

I bought the 1.5 turbo 250GB lady month, came with ICS already installed and I have stayed with 4.0.5 due to issues I hear with 4.0.6 and use it every day. I have had one stall when using the browser, no random reboots and wifi at home or work is no issue. I am coming from the 5IT and then the 70, b...

Re: LIVE! - Firmware Update (4.0.6) - Report Bugs

I've not really experience any issues with WiFi although sometimes the browser will report 'no internet connection' although web pages seem to load without problem although this may be the 3G connection kicking in while the WiFi reconnects. This isnt a problem with 3g connection I dont believe, I i...

Hi all, looking for a bit of advice from you guys. I currently have an Archos 5IT (160gb which is no longer used) & an Archos 70 (250gb), i prefer hard drive over sd cards to allow more viewing choice when on the move Im thinking of upgrading further from the 70 to the 80 turbo and hopefully selling...

Re: Firmware 2.4.81 released - report bugs here

Starting a few days after the move to .81, I noticed battery issues with my A70. If I leave it plugged in overnight the battery will be almost drained by morning (even though the power light is doing the green 'fully-charged' flash). If I leave it plugged in all day, it will drain the battery compl...

Re: Wi-Fi Draing Battery

Is it possible for anyone online on their device to look at their battery stats and see if they get similar readings to me where wifi is using up nearly double amount of battery compared to display ? I'm sitting at 36% wifi, 12% display right now (1d 7h since unplugged). Obviously there are a lot o...

Re: Wi-Fi Draing Battery

I get that wifi will use up battery, but what Im saying is that it appears to be using up more battery than any of my other android devices. I have 2 Archos 5 IT (one mine & one for the missus) and we also both have HTC Desires (mine is rooted) and I am waiting on my new Motorola Razr being delivere...

Re: Wi-Fi Draing Battery

This is not when the tablet is in sleep mode, when in sleep mode I lose no battery between going to sleep and awakening up again. This appears to be happening when I am actually using the device, it to my uneducated mind, looks like the wifi is turned up too high and using a lot more battery than it...
