Re: Are you satisfied with your Archos 5?

I also do think that 1.6.53 is the most stable. I had it installed for about three months, with only a couple of freezing issues. I then installed patched 1.7.11 with GF hack, and the issues got multiplied, rebooting after attempting play video files, station folder at web radio empty etc. I'm serio...

Re: Volume hack available on 1.6.54?

You can download from here:
http://sites.google.com/site/archos5imt ... imitations

Then just drag'n'drop them in the "System" folder of your Archos

Is there any way the hack can be installed under 1.6.53 firmware? What are the patched and the patched bootloaders of .53 for?

Re: Uninstall dual boot?

Thank you guys, I finally had to format the disk and install an original firmware. I wish two formats in a week not do any harm to the device

Re: Original root.cramfs.secure file deleted!!!! Any luck?

The problem now is that after a format it seems there is no firmware. After that happens, should I follow your guide including downgrading etc? Because everytime I put a firmware file in the root of the archos and press done, the recovery 101 screen appears

Re: Original root.cramfs.secure file deleted!!!! Any luck?

The problem is that when I open nautilus I can't copy files as the Read-only warning appears. I tried to put an original firmware at the root but when pressing done at the repair screen, the device reboots and the Archos G6H Recovery (code 101) appears. Any idea?

Original root.cramfs.secure file deleted!!!! Any luck?

I was always wondering how long are the limits of my stupidity!!! Unfortunately I realised there are no limits. trying to hack my Archos 5, at the step where the root.cramfs.secure has to be copied to the /media/disk folder, due to read-only error, I tried to delete the original =D> :? . That was it...

Re: Screen Rotate

This program converts pdf to jpg. If a pdf file is 100 pages, I have to copy 100 jpg to my Archos PDF folder? And if so, I will then have to open these files one by one?

Anyone purchased from Archos recently?

I'm trying to purchase the cinema plugin. I receive an error everytime I give the credit card number and after three attempts the process is automatically being cancelled. I give the whole number, the security code but NOTHING. Anyone has an idea?

Ordering from expansys

I'm interesting in buying the battery dock for my Archos 5 and I'm thinking in ordering from expansys.com. Has anybody ever dealt with them? Is it reliable enough?

Thanks in advance
